A psychiatrist moves with her family from California to her husband’s hometown in Mississippi only to uncover shameful secrets that irrevocably change the lives of everyone involved.

Mexican Caribbean islands are famous for their spectacular beauty. The vast distance where them are found, has transformed them into dens of heartless men, prepared to whatever they need to do in order to remain anonymous. Three young people decide to visit one of these islands, without knowing that there is something inside that can separate them forever.

A picnic by the river. Pablo is in love with his pretty older cousin, but she would rather be alone with her lover, so she gets rid of the boy by sending him off in search of a gift. Something strange happens to Pablo during his trip. Upon his return, he is not the only one whose innocence is at stake.

A couple fall deeply in love. Unfortunately, they are both already married to other people. The resulting affair leads to the man losing his job. Both divorce their spouses, but while travelling together, they decide that the only way for them to be perfectly happy is for them to commit double suicide.

A professor reunites with an old friend who inspires him to return to Czechoslovakia for the first time since he emigrated years ago.
